I mean, really? Contagion or no, who clicks on a story like this? For that matter, who the frack wears a leather shirt?

No. The answer to the question posed in that article is ‘No’.
Is the WSJ still owned by the same fucktrumpets that own Fox ‘News’?

I assume the article is one word long. Maybe three, if the last two are “you can’t.”

You would not want to be wearing a leather shirt (those exist?) in Georgia now that it is starting to get hot. Also, no you cannot.

Who would? Such a shirt would cost like $600 and you couldn’t launder it.

I looked up Smarm in Webster’s Dictionary. It merely said, “see leather shirt, pg 240.”

You mean, like people who work in the White House?
Seriously though, I don’t see how this fits that red leather shirt. (Which would not breathe, would cost like $600, and you could not launder...)

I’d like to have a car with that color leather interior, maybe even a little darker. But a shirt? Seriously - is that even real?

No, you cannot. A leather shirt is a thing that should not exist. Jackets? Sure. Pants? Maybe. Shirt? Absolutely not.

Agreed. I’ve had plenty of cars with leather and yet I still prefer cloth.
My high school car probably had my favorite.

Mine, too. The trouble with those GTI seats was that the bolsters would get worn.

I only had the GTI for two years, ditching it for a base model Vanagon when it became unsustainably unreliable. I never got a chance to wear out the seats, but I can see how that would happen. Now that I’m old, the idea of something with a cushy interior has a bit more appeal.

Same. Though I learnt to drive in a ‘77 Caprice Classic, so I’ve always like the cushy seat, full-sized sedan. The car I list as my dream car is the Cadillac CTS-V, with four doors.

I will ponder that. But reading the definition of smarmy , I don’t see how it fits.

This sums up my opinion of the fashion industry in general. “So you’re saying you want me to pay an obscene amount of money for something uncomfortable that looks absurd and will go out of fashion by next year/month? How ‘bout no.”
I don’t understand why we can’t just declare sweatpants fashionable and be done with it.

Conspiracy theory: All fashion people secretly have their sweat glands surgically removed. Not just anyone can have this procedure done. You have to be rich and know somebody. You could argue that not having sweat glands interferes with the body’s ability to cool itself, but fashion people are already too glamorous to have to go anywhere without air conditioning. In emergencies where air conditioning is not available, they will simply lose layers of clothing. The worst case scenario is that they have to douse themselves with buckets of water or similar fluid, and claim that they were doing it to be sexy.
